December

December 6 - At 6:30 pm on Friday, December 6, we will celebrate Jultrefest at Trinity Lutheran Church (map). Please bring a dish for the Smorgasbord table. Your dish can be meat, main dish, salad, or dessert. What a wonderful way to introduce your friends to some good food and fun. Our plans are to have the usual feasting, celebrating, singing, dancing around the juletree and, of course, gifts for the children (brought by their parents). Volunteers are needed for decorating, food set-up, clean-up, and the program. We look forward to a fun-filled Christmas party.

December 7 - The Clifton Chamber of Commerce, along with numerous businesses and individuals, is sponsoring the annual Norwegian Country Christmas on Saturday, December 7, in Clifton. Plans are for a tour of homes, history, and art. The tour begins at 9:00 a.m. and continues through 5:00 p.m. The Leikarring Dance Group will perform during this special day. The Clifton Fine Arts Building with its beautiful Christmas tree and decorations and the Bosque County Museum will both be open for visiting. Information regarding this celebration can be obtained from the Clifton Chamber of Commerce.

Preparations are again under way for the annual all-you-can-eat Lutefisk Dinner at Cranfills Gap. Sponsored by the Cranfills Gap Independent School District, the event is scheduled for Saturday, December 7, at the High School, beginning at 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., serving every 45 minutes.
